Date: 07 Nov 2013
Ssangyong
Motor, part of the Mahindra Group, announced the company reported its highest
ever monthly sales since 2005, with a total of 14,244 vehicles globally – 6,202
units in domestic sales and 8,042 units in exports.
Its
sales in October increased by 27.1pc from a year earlier and by 22.1pc on an

started to sell this model globally in earnest by introducing the new Korando C
in August this year.
In
addition to robust sales of face-lifted model, it was also attributed to record
monthly production volume of 14,786 units this year, as extra work shift on
days and weekends which helped supply increase was back to normal.
Ssangyong’s
domestic sales recorded the highest ever in 7 years since December 2006 at
6,534 units, with a sales increase on all models including the Korando family
brand models. It increased by 48.2pc over the same month last year.
In

units including 3,960 shipping units of the New Korando C, which was sold
globally in earnest. It rose by 14.5pc year-on-year.
